Frank Zic PT, DPT

Dr. Frank Zic is a Long Island native dedicated to elevating movement, performance, and quality of life for every person who walks through ZicPT’s doors. After earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from NYIT in 2009, he became a recognized leader in innovative sports rehabilitation and individualized patient care. Growing up a multi-sport athlete competing in football, wrestling, lacrosse, and later rowing at Syracuse University, Frank developed the discipline and resilience that now fuel his passion for helping others return stronger after injury.

He has been at the forefront of progressive physical therapy on Long Island and was among the first therapists in the region to incorporate advanced performance-minded techniques such as Graston and IASTM, cupping and myofascial decompression, RockTape and kinesiology taping applications, and integrated rehabilitation for strength and performance athletes. Frank works directly with athletes and individuals to refine movement, prevent injury, and restore function. With advanced certifications in manual therapy and Functional Movement Technique, he blends hands-on treatment with targeted corrective exercise and remains fully committed to treating the root cause, not just the symptoms. He listens, evaluates, educates, and provides patients with customized strategies that support long-term health and performance. Frank has shaped ZicPT into a supportive, growth-focused environment where patients and clinicians thrive together. Whether treating athletes, post-operative patients, or individuals seeking greater mobility and freedom in daily life, his goal is always the same: to help people move better, feel stronger, and return to what they love with lasting results.
